Liquid Coral Food

Recommended Posts

Which liquid coral food did you buy?

I personally have given up on liquid coral food years ago because they usually have poor or dubious nutritional value and usually end up polluting your tank.

Mushrooms and buttons do not need feeding.. they will uptake nutrients from the water (which is usually available in large amounts for most hobby tanks).

Maybe an occasional dosage of iodide supplements.

The brand of the liquid food will give an idea of what it is.

They should also list the ingredients on the bottle.

Target feeding would be better with solid food.(something meaty)

but you don't need to for the above. unless you want giant mushies & button plague! :P

What brand of coral food? Hmm.. apparenly it's from Germany... and all it says on the label is coral food (boy, how informative huh?) Thanks for the advice AT and Bawater!!

Oh! So if buttons and mushrooms are low maintenance... do I still need to add Kalkwasser during water top ups? - thanks guys! :)
