macro calcium reactor

hi..just browsing along my neighbourhood fish shop.......the uncle offer me 150 bucks for a macro calcium reactor + the argonite.........

he alos said it is enough to support a 3 feet tank.......so is it a worth buy ???

and what chemicals u dont need to add if u have a calcium reactor ????? :thanks: in advance

what exactly is the reactor ???/,...betrter make sure........can anyone send the pic....or isit the powerhead attached to the inside,,,...... i can tell u guys where the shop is,....but u cant get the same prie as me........because he and me very close.....i am the one who call him to bring in the marine chemicals and protien skimmer blah blah......so now he rewaed me by letting me have free fish, cheap chemicals and lower than average discount.....

u will only need Iodine supplement if you have a Ca reactor. but be careful when u dose Iodine.. too much can be fatal too ;)

it's actually the co2 container... which you already have

Saw this Macro Calcium reactor before at ML.

Becareful on the tubing, especially the CO2 tubing.

It looks cheapskate and thin.

I wonder if it can withstand the gas pressure.

You might not want to have CO2 leaking while you are sleeping.

cant u just change the tubing to a co2 proof one ?????

andysho....cool what look like a mini lab

my questions is : is it true if u have calcium reactor no need other chemicals except iodide

and how many bubbles per second you need to dose the co2????

yes, its true only iodine.

as to how many bubble/sec and effluent drip rate, every tank is different. for me 1.5 bubble/sec works coz i have a SPS/Clams tank. u will need to trail n error... most impt is yr PH of yr effluent.. should be between 6.6-6.8 (me using A.R.M.)

actually i was thinking to add this cheap reactor,

but better do some research first

i dun want in the middle of the night , the tube leak

and make my room turn into a greenhouse with giant

leaves and twig all around
