I just got my cleaner shrimp frm Reborn. It was the last one.

Do you guys feed ur shrimps? And with what?

How do you pair them up? How to diff between M/F?

Mine just hides in the rocks, does it come out at night?

I also saw a lot of red little lobsters there. Any one got one? I read they are not reef safe and eat little fishes.

got 2 cleaners in my tank and they started off with cleaning the fishes ... but as time goes by .... it started on picking on MS meant for the fishes ...but it sill does it's job once in a while for the fishes ....

You mean ur fish had ich when u intro the shrimps?

Anyway i wanted to buy a pair but only 1 left. Any other suitable companion for my CS? A fire shrimp?

If i add the lobster, it would eat my shrimp rite?

I would like to ask, will a shrimp affect the bioload of a tank?

My tank is 2ft. I already have 1 pair of clowns, 1 cs and 1 astrea snail (cone shape). No skimmer running yet.

I would like to add a another shrimp and maybe a turbo snail.

And will my cleaner shrimp die of hunger if the crabs grab the leftovers first? I feed frozen mysis shrimp to my clowns and there are always a couple bits of meat dropped to the sand.

Ammonia, nitrites and nitrates are nil.

My CS got attacked by my pseudochromis the moment it was put in the tank. The shrimp hadn't even had the chance to blink (figuratively speaking). By morning it was dead.

I read somewhere that pseudochromis feed on shrimps but didn't think that they were refering to large shrimps like CS. Can I introduce CS again? Perhaps bigger ones or should I go for CBS since they are more "combative"?

i have 2 camel shrimp in the overflow tower to do the cleaning up of the tower ..... so foodstuff would not rot inside there lah !!

heh heh.. I've got a similar concept also, I've caught one of those detestable brown crab and put it in my filter wool.... its still alive after 2 weeks so i guess its really eating the food stuff that overflowed and preventing the them form rotting...

camel shrimp = peppermint shrimp?

can post a pic of them???

Unfortunately, camel shrimps are not peppermints...Peppermints are shaped more like CS, but have similar coloration to the Camels. Peppermints are supposedly great aiptasia eaters, but local no stock watsoever (wrong region?). Camels on the other hand, have a reputation for picking on corals (or so i read...). They do look great though? Especially when they do their kinky 'dance'???

Peppermints:
