Some updates of my tank since Sept 2004.

Upgraded Resun CL280 to CL650 because of noise.

Upgraded Atman 650l/hr canister to 2400l/hr because of chiller requirement

Current plan of my tank

My Chiller & Filter in the canister. Still trying to look for a small powerful fan to reduce the internal cabinent temp which hover around 45-50C degree. This causes my chiller to kick-in/out every 5 min of so, increasing my monthly PUB bill by at least S$40. Currently uses a timer for the chiller to reduce the overall operation time from 24 hr to less than 12 hr.

A full tank shot today.

Some of the LPS & Soft corals have been doing pretty well since my NO3 had

been reduced from typical 40ppm to around 10-15ppm now. (after using the

'sugar' method by one of the reefer). Now put around 1/2 teaspoon of sugar per week to stabilise the NO3. Weekly dose of Seachem Reef Iodide. Water top-up directly from tap-water. Natural seawater from Iwarna.

Parameters:

NO3 = 10-15ppm (Aquar Pharm)

PH = 7.9-8.1 (Hanna Digital)

PO = 0.03 (salifert)

Ca = 420ppm

Salinity = 1.020-1.025

Temp = 26.5 - 29C (depending on my chiller timer operation)

Food: chopped shrimps, mysis, live brine shrimps
