SRC Member Firestarter Posted November 2, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 2, 2012 My 4G pico in my office temp is at a low temp due to the powerful aircon. Previously, the tank was at 24'C but after changing my lights from PL to LED, and removing a small powerhead, the tank temp is now at a whopping 22.5'C - 23'C. I have another small tank setup with (water from main tank)which has a higher temp due to its smaller volume, at about 25'C. After transferring some mushrooms into the smaller tank, it seems to have expanded more. Could this be a result of low temp issues? What is the lowest optimal temp a reef tank can go? Guest
i think 24 degree is already the lowest for soft corals .. Try to use a small heater as what jxlex suggested.
SRC Member Firestarter Posted November 2, 2012 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 2, 2012 Thanks for the advice, I don't have space for a heater, but I'm planning to reuse the powerhead to heat the tank back up to 24'C. SRC Member jxlex Posted November 2, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 2, 2012 I think if u have space for a powerhead u will have space for a small heater bro... Its like 2cm across x 20cm in length... But then again, its your tank its your choice r, AP send via tapatalk Quote :: just a noob ::
