Noticed my dottyback had flukes, tried to catch it for a freshwater dip but it was impossible. Eventually tore down the entire tank just to catch it. Tank has been cycling for about 5 weeks now, only livestock in the tank my dottyback and cleanerr shrimp.

All the moving of the liverocks was a big mistake. Tank went from crystal clear to almost zero visibility. Does that mean my ANN have shot sky high now?

Will never every tear down a tank just to catch a fish, first and last time today. Lesson learnt.

some fishes are hard to catch especially with rocks scapes... It took me 1 week to catch a Six Line Wrasse by using a trap box... so good luck

My main concern is whether my ANN is sky high now considering I killed all the bacteria when I tore my tank apart

Next time try doing fish trap.

it works for my dottyback and damsels.

One thing is dottyback cannot stand another dotty so can also tape a small round mirror at the base of a clear bottle and lure it in.
