Just want to know if anyone have hermit crabs in their tank. Do they help to eat algae?

I used to have them but take them out as they are too destructive. They pruned me turtle grass and macroaglae! Now all botak already. The last straw came when I saw it attacking and eatup my feather duster worm! :shock:

Now it is living in my filter sump! ;)
