two powerheads in my bare tank?!?!

Recommended Posts

hi all,

my tank is a bare tank, with no ios and no sump.

currently all equipment are hang on, using a HOB filter and BB Nac QQ which is also hang on.

i intend to get a chiller and a FR.

does this mean that i will have to put in two powerheads into my tank? big dilemma right now because putting two powerheads on the sandbed would look really really ugly. are there any powerheads that are hang on too?

is there any way around this?

thanks guys.

How Big is your tank? If it has enough space, A proper plan Rockscaping can hide all those stuffs.

For my 2footer, I use canister but with Bare tank sump. The way i do it is placing the Input, on main tank & output to sump. My output also has a UV Strelizer. Take note that, Output Valve must be adjusted. So must Equipment can be hide on sump. & Also a return pump.

Don't do this way as i don't really recommend unless proper planning of future flooding is done.

Hope this gives you some Ideas on ways to hide your sump.

well, you could just use one powerhead that goes through the FR first, followed by the chiller.
