Some kind of dust particles

Today I suddenly experience of having so much of dirts....or better to descript as it looks like dust particles flying around the tank. I decided to switch off all my pumps and waited for the water to settle down. After checking my filteration I decided to change my filter sponge which is about 10 days old to the filter bag which I just bought ( advice from follow members). Upon switching on the pumps, the dust particles appeared again. I have carbon media in my sum tank which suppose to keep the water clear... Can any one help me to understand how to remove such things and improve the water clarity ?

is your tank bare bottom or sand bed? What is in your sump? Good skimmer shld able to reduce this problem. Alternatively you can try water clarifier additive. Cheers..

There could be micro bubbles from your pump. Try to ensure the pump does not take in any bubbles around the sump area or is trap within the pump.
