Well to me grade 0 look nicer and tiny , remind

me of tioman beach~~~~ but the problem is it will chulk up

together

i buying my sand later too.. after much thinking i opt for grade 0 , because most reefers suggest that to me

however grade one will do too, is all up to your liking

If your current is too strong in your tank~~ you might see sand 0

floating in your tank whick look like snowing in a tank ~~

Looks nice~~~ just joking"

thanks ........ i started off a new tank using grade 1, was wonder should i make any changes to it.......

btw i thinking of buying some lighting. But i am confuse by the difference in T5 and normal Power Compact (PL) . Are these 2 the same or rather do they use the same kind of hood.

And where to buy them at a more affordable price......

i been to petmart but they showed me florencence light hood.

thanks again

Well depend waht you want to keep in the long run...

If you got the extra money~~ i sugget you go for T5 light

I use PL light... and nothing to said about it

i have upgrade from PL light to a 250w metal halide for my

new 2 feet tank kekekek

I think u first have to let us know the size of your tank first

Pl and T5 is totally different thing...

If you intend to keep sps...then PL light will only kill them

you can order the t5 light from edmund

you can try ordering it from your LFS as mine is able to bring in some the other day when I asked him. His price is alot cheaper then most places. If you like to order you can call Tommy at 67844578 K&K Aquarium at Tampines Street 21 , Blk.201-D , #01-1145. T5 is a much better choice and has a higher kelvin intensity and wattage :D

Hmmm whos edmund ah????

why PL will kill SPS ah???

hmmmm metal halide for 2 ft is it overkill ah???

how much does a T5 cost around for a 2ft tank ah???

and metal halide how much u bought it for????

edmund is from eaquanature...one of our sponsors. PL can kill meaning that the light intensity is too low for SPS corals.

you can visit this website . http://www.eaquanature.com/web/index.html

SPS demand high lighting. you can try it if you

dun believe under PL light

my tank is a 2 feet cube tank . 250w will sure cook

my corals alive.. but of course i will be getting a chiller

to cool down the water temp

For prices on light vist the above website.

icicic but T5 a bit too expensive leh.....

but my tank not really deep....... after all the DSB, think around 15" left.....

at this kind of depth, PL still not enough to provide the intensity.

heh thanks both andysho and Acanthurus pyroferus for their prompty reply

Bro , if you want to keep SPS the PL isn't strong enough.... :D Hard corals will survive better with some softies. Cured LR's , try e-aquarist ... :D Anything we can do to help we will.. :D Any local LFS sells PL fixtures and price range almost the same every where. Try and call K&K aquarium very helpful people there. :D
