Ich on my blue tank

Hi all,

I need advise on ich treatment. Can I just do a weekly water change to cure it? My fish are currently still feeding and no sign of stress.

My own experience is, leave it alone if it is eating. just feed him well.

best solution is not stress it. feed it well. let it fight with ich and automatically ich will be off it's body

water change did help in mine, cus water condition wasnt good.

Got to check if there are other causes eg, a big bully fish around, water conditions, etc

Still trying but i don't see my blue tang eating well. i did water change weekly 15% - 30%.

dont change too much. 30% weekly is too much? 10-20% will do.

Before introduce it to the main tank, give the tang a fresh water bath for about 10min if you donot have a QT tank.

It is also good to get red bamboo for the tang to eat at the same time.

Generally if a tang is eating well, it will recover on its own.... Once it stops eating... Goner. Try soaking seaweed in garlic next time, it works for me. Mu blue tang was covered in white spots, amazingly it survived aft a week of garlicsoakedseaweed!

Ich aka white spot is like flu. As long the fish immunity is strong it will not be affected by it. So keeping good water condition is important. Garlic also boost immune system.
