rbta -cause for long tentacles?

What causes a rbta to stretch its tentacles long n thin , n at times

they r nice n round bubble shape?

Is it current? Light? Food or lack of it?

Might be reaching for light source. Most anemone need strong light.

my experience is exactly that. when it had strong light the tentacles was nice n round bubble tip, then when i shifted to a shade

area, the tentacles got long n stringy.

I am not sure if this can be subjective because I read on reefkeeping before where there was a guy who keeps an anemone tank, full of RBTA and they are obviously doing well and reproducing. And the photos show that the RBTA all have long tentacles... very odd.

its not odd actually . Mine, cus its not in a bright area has long tentacles, but is also splitting now Its not optimum conditions

but will still reproduce. BUT pls dont try putting it in the sump, mine died n so did many fishes, cus it release poison

Is it normal for a rbta to be deflated when the light is off? Is there any cause for concern for concern?

From my personal experience, my rbta would shrink at night when my lights switch off before expanding and bubbling up again when the lights come on again in the day.

Didn't know my thread was still around hehe. Thanks for ur replies. I have since changed the lighting of the rbta to a bright led n guess what !! It's bubbly again- nice n rounded with tip, so this confirms the lighting experiment

me have different experience ... my RBTA with very long tentacles under 250w MH very solid red color and tentacles more than 6" long but after move to sump under 55w PLL lighting it become transparent pink with big bubble tip ...
