Hello there, I need some advice from experts here. I'm currently using a Pl light and it came with a bulb which is white and pink. I am thinking of getting a new one. Should I get a blue bulb or blue and white? Thanks in advance. :)

Why not jus get 1 blue and 1 whit instead on the blue/white combination. this way, you can simulate moonlight for your corals. instead of switching off at one shot. :P

that's 1 advantage...

the other advantage being a white/white will be hav more intensity n benefit ur corals more :)

I bought PL tubes from Pasir Ris PLot D, where one shop sells accessories and one shop sells LS. Paid 20 SGD for one PL 11W (Blue and white). Actually how to tell if blue or actnic?

most PLs now in the market are blue/white... the diff is that for pure actinic, it peaks at 420nm, effectively, ur corals flourese better in this light... for blue, it's just a blue light, ur corals will pick those color spectrum that they can use...

to find out whether u hav an actinic/blue, check out the color spectrum graph on its package.... if it onli vaguely mentioned blue, most likely it's a blue.... else they will show u a peak at 420nm to boast to u bout their quality ;)
