SRC Member peacemaker Posted September 5, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted September 5, 2012 It is better to perform drip acclimatization than add a cup of water after every ten mins. Some fishes are small and packed with so little water, so a cup full may even exceed the amount of water in the bag.

I always use smaller pail.. Erm, using a smaller pail seems to be the logical thing to do. But sometimes, even using smaller pail also not enough. When that happens, I usually tilt the pail to one side to ensure that the fishes have enough depth to at least not expose any part of their body to air. johnmariados
I usually open the bag and put it in the tank and clip it to the glass using a clothes peg. Then I drip water in using diy airline tubing and a container. If I have more than one bag, I use a syringe and squirt about 1ml every few mins or so for the extra bags. This goes on for about an hour.

OR remove the Fish by net and then put it into the DT ??
SRC Member John Deroe Kenedy Posted December 5, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted December 5, 2012 Best if u can scoop it out with a net n release in the tank.. i always try to avoid dumping the packed water into my display tank. rekian
I think best to have quarantine tank else get from reputable reefer/shop. Look for sign of a health fish when selecting also.
