Chiller

hi everyone, I m totally new and had just started my nano tank. however i need help if there is any suggestion on getting a used chiller, reason being i do appreciate the fact that new is better but due to tight budget i guess i have to be humble at this point of time.

my tank is 400x320x320 mm currently powered by a fan (bought from LFS)

Best to see the tank running before purchase, so you can see if chiller is functioning and not leaking at any point.

I also brought a chiller off TS from this forum recently. It should be alright if you check properly.

FYI: I brought the chiller at tip top condition. Very happy with the 2nd hand purchase from a TS here.

Am using a pre-owned chiller without any problem. Good to see it in operations. And be patient for the right one to come along. :-)

Of course, I see nothing wrong in 2nd hand stuffs purchase.

For chiller, do check things like ventilation fans is working by feeling it, displace led is working, open up the from cover and inspect visually inside. Water leakage of such example is the rubber V shape type on the in & out pipe become too hardened & etc.

Noise is due to the catching spring inside, however it is still working well.

If yours is a nano tank, you can Op for 1-20 or 1-15 hp of chiller.

In the market Teco, Arctica, Hailea, Resun etc.

Pm me if u want a 1-15 hp chiller. I be letting go mine. Still running in the frag tank.

Thanks everyone for your input....I have gotten a used chiller haha n it's a huge one for a little nano tank...I appreciate all your input because that is what I have in mind when I test the chiller...thanks
