Hi,

I am currently cycling a new nano tank. Today the tank water has turn milky and there are quite a lot of slime on the LR. I have never encounter this before for my other tanks. Is there anything I need to do/look out for?

Its probably a bacterial bloom in the water. It should clear in a few days.

Slime on LR? Sounds like dieoffs. Is your LR well-cured before placing it in your tank? If not, the die-offs will help add ammonia to your water to kickstart the cycle.

Do you have any water movement in your tank?

Thanx AT.

I don't think the LR are cured. Anyway it is a new tank. I just changed the water, the conditions are a bit better. I have also add a PH to improve circulation and turn on the skimmer to increase the level of O2. The LR do look quite horrible... Luckily no smell, otherwise my folks will kill me... :P
