Vortech battery backup failed

Hi guys, I have a Vortech battery backup which suddenly fail to work. I did a check and realized the green light at the adaptor did not light up. Usually it's always lighted up.

Is the failure due to the adaptor blown? Though the light did not light up, it feels warm when I touched it.

I off the main power supply to the Vortech wave maker. By right, the battery backup should still be supplying power to the wave maker. But it doesn't.

Anyone kind enough to analyze for me what's the problem? Is it the adaptor or that the back up unit is down? I got it about a year ago fr a farm..Kelvin or so...didn't manage to retrieve his contact fr anywhere.

Hi bro Five, yes the adapter could fail. If the light at the adapter does not light up...bring the adapter to Sim Lim Tower for a check....if confirm failed...then just buy a oem adapter there...cost around $25-$30

Hey, thanks for the advice. I just got a adaptor, which the head looks the same. But somehow, it can't be plugged into the battery backup input. Probably I will bring the whole backup to the shop tomorrow. Hopefully I can find a replacement.
