Which Return Pump ?

Due to my limited budget, which brand of return pump would you guys recommend besides Eheim ?

u also need consider pump dimension and inlet n outlet. just in case after u buy liao n find the inlet is too long and outlet can't match to return pipe.

then u need to mod yr pipe or sell off but definitely get fleeced by low ballers

Go for Tesino . A bit expensive but will pay back by iself in electrical bill

If you compare to Ehiem pump(high flow) it is must cheaper in price and lower wattage...saving electricity in long run...thumbs up

In theory should be.. but the adapter doesn't have threaded kind.. only for hose..need some DIY

second Tesino pump too. Price is good and quite silent but to be fair I have used it for only a few months.

My eheim 1262 return pump has been running for more than 4 years non-stop and I have not open up to clean/service it. Still going strong and I think it is a great pump.

you must also take into account the noise that is produced, as for the inlet and outlet size i believe there are some accessories that can connect a smaller to bigger diameter pump.

I'm using a Dymax pump but my main issue is a little bit of vibrating noise. quite minimal but its there, however its cheap,

if you can afford i would definitely recommend Eheim, it is a very reputable brand, people have said they are silent, and reliable which are two very important things to take note.

I replaced my pump's outlet Eheim hose size from 19/27mm to 25/34mm.

It made a huge difference. It's like twice the flow I'm getting now.

Pay abit more for a proven reliable pump like ehiem is always a wise investment. Imagine your return pump fail & toast your corals during lights on period.

4 years non-stop? out sump or in sump?

mine out sump, after running for 2 years non stop, starts to produce micro bubbles

did some repiping and now in sump, problem solve

now need to modify my water change routine

Aquamedic pump is as good as ehiem I feel, but it is slightly more ex.

Alot of marine stuff if get from hongkong is really cheaper then any another country.
