Light duration to compensate PAR

Due to my leds situated at 24 inches away from my lowest sps, par might not be sufficient. Can I compensate it will longer duration for the low par?

Why don't you move your SPS or light

Looking in advance when I run into not enough space at top. Cutting the light hanger to bring the lights down is my last resort. Meantime I having trying to position the sps species base on its colours & light requirements.

Would like to learn if anyone has tested using light duration to compensate for PAR?

I feel tat so long the coral can't get enough light, no matter how long u on the light also not much effect. Or maybe u need to on very very long, not just few hrs more .

I think like wat Sherman said, most effective n cost saving is lower the light set.

But u lose the spread, so u need buy another light set...

But I think sps not enough par will lose coloration, n having longer photoperiod not going to help.

You got a point there littleburger. Anyone have the instrument to measure PAR reading? Borrow for 2 hrs to take some measurement.?
