SRC Member arcanehacker Posted January 24, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 24, 2004 wat do i have to feed da tubeworms? I believe you gotta feed them plankton.. SRC Member BarraCudaTM Posted January 24, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 24, 2004 no special feeding needed, they are somehow hardy enough to feed themselves

I rad somewhere that they are difficult to keep.. but they also said these worms put out their bristles to catch whatever they can, usually microsopic organisms and live plankton. Dont know where you read yr stuff but tubeworms are very hardy .. no special feeding is needed, all they need is good water flow.
SRC Member riot Posted January 25, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 25, 2004 I dont think you need plankton. Dont dump stuff like plankton into your tank unless you know that your skimmer and filtration can take the extra load.
Achilles Tang
If you want to see it grow... feed it phytoplankton... its a filter feeder.
SRC Member boxfish Posted January 25, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 25, 2004 why not try out the cheap tube worm at $1-3? get a bottle of bottle coral food .... believe you will be checking out some of the kent or coralife product for example.... you should gain confident if you still see your tubeworm around after a few weeks.
