Did you wash the media

Before putting into the tank? If not it will take some time to clear, and if it doesn't maybe you can try adding carbon and extra filter sponge.

Phosguard is to remove p04 to prevent algae bloom , but it will not remove those algae already in your tank. You will have to remove it manually, and low p04 will helps prevent it from coming back again.

No I didnt wash it, I just put it directly into the sump tank. I did put carbon and extra filter sponge but its still cloudy. I already remove the algae manually but after i make water change the algae seems appear on my sand bed. Which phosphate media is good other than phossguard? bcoz i heard phosban is much better than phosguard for reef tank.

You should rinse the phosguard and Soak for 5 to 10 minutes before put into your tank and phosguard is aluminium base absorbent and Rowaphos is iron base absorbent you need to check your or alkalinity properly maintain around 8dkh before implement po4 absorben such as Rowaphos or phosguard. Both also great product but having difference absorbent capability during initial implement. Phosguard will absorb large quantity of phosphate for the first 3 days and gradually decrease the effectiveness if the absorbent media is full. So your tank alkalinity must be able to buffer the suddent ph drop and for Rowaphos more gentle and constant. I have successfully bring down my po4 to very low level by implement 2 steps 2 product trick. For the first 3 days I use phosguard and replace with Rowaphos for the long run. Tank cloudy have many possibility, bacteria bloom, unexpected alteration tank water parameter by owner such as chemical addition. For your case I suspected cause by the powder in the phosguard,If the cloudy still not disappear after few day you implement very fine filter floss in the sump or power filter a water change will be best way to reset everything. You also can email seachem at support@seachem.com to get more detail for their product other than documented in the label. Hope this will help.
