WTG: Colony of sun corals

Hi, I have come to realize that it is beyond my capabilities to keep this beautiful NPS coral healthy and happy.

I've been target feeding them twice a week. And these are the only times they stretch their tentacles. Due to my decommissioning of my skimmer, i have to reduce my tank's bio load. Last 2 weeks I only fed them once a week.

So I'm looking for someone who can take better care of them than me to pass this colony to.

3" x 1.5". There are at least 30 mouths on this colony.

Collection at Bedok reservoir on weeknights.

SMS me to arrange.

K.K.

Some cans of coke in exchange would be cool.

Thanks bro.

I learn this good trait from you lol.

Anyway, the queue is 3 deep now.

Pls refrain from messaging me now. If all of these 3 backs out, I'll post here again the availability.

Thanks.

A good cause, however need to ensure the reefer taking it must really spend time on it as sub coral require food and target feeding. This is unlike other corals.

Fully agreed. That's why I mentioned that it is going to a reefer who can take better care of it than me.

On a hind note, I wonder if I can demand visual update of the sun coral in this thread once a month / week to ensure that the reefer is conscious of this demanding task ahead before he commits? Lol..

Haha just joking lah. There's no way I can / will impose this system.

I know I don't have the time to target feed them regularly to keep them healthy. So I'll have to pass this task to a more capable reefer.

Anyway it's due for collection tonight or latest tmr.

Cheers.

To make sun corals open you can try to target feed or feed thru wavemaker a few times a day....this is to train your sun coral to open for longer time during the day/night.

But the downside is that you will increase your nutrient level in your tank which could be a disaster if you have sensitive coral such as SPS. I try to target feed once a week now...sun coral not complaining....hehe
