Lighting for SPS Corals

Hi all,

Need advice from experts regarding lighting for my 39" * 24" * 27" fish tank. Will 1 * 250 watts MH Light and 2 * 39 watts T5 enough for me to keep SPS corals.

2 will be better... if one only then your sps will end up at the bottom of the lighting only

That's probably the bare minimum for your tank's size/depth. And even then, only a small portion of your tank would be suitable.

You may want to seriously consider 2x250w MH plus the T5s. The idea is to create a total and as ideal an environment for them in your reef tank.

1 MH is only able to cater ard 2'x2' area only if u place the light ard 6"~8" above water level, you can cover more area if the light is lift up more but it the intensity of the light will drop...
