Bottom-dwelling ambush reef predators rely on camouflage and patience to catch their dinner.  Their body forms are ill suited to chase down even the slowest of fish.  To catch their meal, frogfish and scorpionfish blend into the substrate by pretending to be algae or sponges and patiently wait for unsuspecting prey to swim by.
