can some one identify what type of algae is on my live rock and how to remove it?

Scrub it and cycle the tank without light if u got no corals.

My thoughts:

Take out rocks and clean thoroughly,

Put them under the sun for a couple of days.

I think do one rock at a time so as not to make too much changes to your bacteria population, etc.

Check your phosphate level in the tank.

Get a couple of algae eating fish and/or inverts.

Anyone try this to remove green hairline algae?

Those are fake corals n rocks! No way for live rocks n corals! If you can take out the rock, suggest you use hydrogen peroxide 3% to spot treatment of algae. Leave the hydrogen peroxide for a couple of minutes and rinse in old tank water before returning it into tank.

Do a search for hydrogen peroxide algae treatment, many discussions about it.

This method is not for live corals, I guess it is for live rock without corals. Except there is some risks. do one rock at one time as as to prevent too much changes to your bacteria population and clean it properly with water after bleaching........

By the way, where to buy hydrogen peroxide in Singapore? Need any license? Low concentration <3% or less may be available.

Best method is to reduce the PO4 and NO3 in the tank ........

(Y.Tangs)will help too. They love it
