I'm using the 5stage Ro/di. One strange observation is I use tds pen test my waste water from unit and tap water n tap water got lower value....

Waste water is like concentrated waste so will have higher reading than tap water.

Just to share, Iwarna sells DI water. It cost me $2 for a 18L container.

Very convenient for lazy people like me hehe

i actually store my DI water in a tank for frequent top up.. will storing it makes it not DI? i do keep a handful of resin inside though.

i fill up a small tank with my 3 stage crystal pro DI water and store it afterwards for further use..

Try and keep your tank covered. Otherwise particles may fall into the water and dissolve, making the water contain impurities. My TDS in my covered RO/DI barrel remains constant even after a week (it's covered), so I think you should be fine having yours in a storage tank.

IMO in long term should invest a rodi water filter because u might need it when u going upgrading and somemore the waste water still can be use for washing machine and floor cleaning as well....Im doing that quite a time LOL

have been buyin 30l at $10 from aqua and $12 from ml (not di, ready made mix saltwater) $2 for 18l is much cheaper as i already bought my own saltmix.

very old thread... but can check how much does it cost on average usage of RODI unit?
eg.
replace resin/filter etc every 1000litre of water?
how much for the replacement?
