apitasia on clam

anyone knom how to remove apitasia on shell of my clam?

I used a very very sharp pair of tweezers to remove the buggers on my clam...not sure if this is othordox but seems okay as I do not see any apitasias in my tank so far.

yes, i use vineger to destroy them too. so far very effective. have managed to remove all, but accidentally kill 1 mushy. lucky its only a normal yuma

i use sharp knife to scrap it off..... very effective

i think kalkwasser paste is the most effective so far...

coz removing by cutting or pulling will leave behind residue that will grow back into new aiptasia....in fact a single cell can reproduce into a whole new aiptasia if the conditions are favourable

the kalkwasser will literally burn away all tissues of it and prevent any comeback...and since this is done on the shell of the clam...clam will not be affected

no. but i cant remember why i posted that. damn.

anyway.. remember to use gloves if u use that kalk method. just slather the kalk paste onto ur hands and rub it all over the clam.

i use a twister to kill that thing
