Is AA protein skimmer effective?

Juz wanna know is the AA protein skimmer effective for a 2 feet tank??Thanks..

Normal air stone skimmer. If you have low bio load, it should be sufficient. I am using a similar sanders piccolo for my 1.5 ft nano. So far so good...

But for my 2 ft, I use a 2014. You should get a pump driven one if you have the space.

Im currently using it and it skims out some brownish liquid not like coffee colour which i saw from other skimmer. Therefore , i don't whether effective or not le..hmmm...

Hi,

I got a 2012 with a weipro 300, and the water level I set to the neck of the container, just some tea "O" only.

However, my bio load is small log, only 6 demsel fishes.

Is my Skimmer working properly ?

little bioload so teh O only? nothing much to skim.. correct me if i'm wrong, im juz learning.. my 2011 has yet to produce any skimate..dunnoe wad's wrong.. using 2200l/hr pump..

I'm using AA 525 for one of my small tanks (1.5 feet) & is doing just fine. , but my bigger tanks I use weipro 2011 and 2012.

So how is the AA525??Got produce any coffeemate??

AA525 gets dark brown in cup for my 1.5 ft tank. & I saw a smaller version AA515. Donno how much it cost though.

For a 1 to 1.5 feet, its ok but for 2 feet it starts to skim nothing.. usually clear water.. I have 2 sizes, anyone want (without airstone coz dirty liao)?

I use the same one for my seahorse tank but replaced the stone to a sander wood one. It produce finer air bubbles and skimmate is dark brown.

I tried changing the air stone to Sander by the bubbles overflow. Do u know how I can solve the problem?
