My new Acropora cerealis

Recommended Posts

I just got this today. About 90-95% of my corals are tank raised, frags from online sources and from friends, but I could not resist buying this wild caught specimen. I have also heard from a lot of fellow reefers that these tend to lose their color, but I have to give it a try.

IMpreesive....veri sweet colour.

I think as long as you are providing all the TLC, as Danano has done, the colours will hold and appear even nicer...:lol::lol:

Hey...man...use international Enlgish, otherwise our dear Pikey won't understand...

let me translate...it means in Chinese Hokkien-based dialect, "father died very pretty'...which may not mean anything to you but the lingo is like that...actually it means the something is superbly or magnificently beautiful... :)

Pikey,

That's a pretty cool lookin specimen you are holdin onto....

And yap, acropora cerealis does have issues retaining their colours .... I have one previously that had browned up and till now still's brown.....

There's however alocal reefer here that had managed to keep the colours intact.... he's currently with 250W DE BLVs bulb... think he jus switched to the Coralvue bulbs...

No, I am not a real pikey.

Thanks for the explanation of your language.

I will pick up pretty quickly, but it is very new to me right now. I am also learning to speak Korean.

Thanks again for the compliments. I hope to have great success with this coral as with my others.
