SRC Member starfish123 Posted May 18, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 18, 2014 Replace all red and green for royal blue will be best choice. Dont add more 410nm , v.strong. i added 2 par38 with total of 6 410nm last few months , sps got a little bleached . looks Dim but v.power Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk haha just finished most of the chinese led lights forum on reef central. 6 uv too much? i think should not be a problem as will start initially start 50% on both channels, slowly ramp up if needed. razor uses 2 uv per led puck, so actually trying to get about the same look as razor 16000k, just that looking more towards 18000k look
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted May 18, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted May 18, 2014 6 uv is fine, alot ppl going lots of violets nowadays, but remember to dim them down. if you like more white then replace with ww, u might want to keep the green to balance off the color a little. red can be taken out. SRC Member starfish123 Posted May 20, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 20, 2014 just got the lightset, red seems abit too overpowering, other than than, it is fine. pics coming...
SRC Member starfish123 Posted May 22, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 22, 2014 so far, lights are working well. fan a bit noisy, but surprisingly, unit is not warm at all, at ard 50% for both channels.(though i have not tuned it to 100% yet, the fan seems quite powerful so heat should not be a problem) pic of fan and lightset itself another pro is that it allows for customised color combinations, though it is not possible to mix bulb brands, thus am using bridgelux as cree does not have violets color combi: lightset can only be dimmed to min ard 20%, and after that is an off of the lightset. but i can live with that as i do not really need controllability, but am only looking at growth and coloration. one thing to note: this set cannot be mounted with brackets, but must be hung on tank. lights are now just placed on my brackets, but not safe. some pics... current setting blue 100%, white lowest setting blue lowest, white 100% both at 100% overall i give this set a 8/10, due to lack of controllability (which i don't really need), and inability to mount on brackets. thanks for viewing

SRC Member starfish123 Posted May 27, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 27, 2014 What lightset is that, and how much did you pay for? Tank and SPS are looking good! thanks for your compliments. regarding your question, this is an eshine light, the old 4g model. as for the price, as i usually look for equipments which are cheap and good, it is not that expansive as it is also not controllable.
