CaribSea Arag Alive & Caribsea Ocean's Direct

Bought a Arag Alive Bimini Pink (20lbs) and Ocean's Direct Pacific Black today at madpetz. Super cheap than any other outlets. Difference of $40 from other outlets.

Added into tank today and fears came in. Was told that it don't really need any rinsing, so i dump it into my tank.

Slowly ofcourse using my hands.

Arag Alive Bimini Pink = Wet Pack/ Water in pack/Mix Of sand grains between 0.2mm - 2.2mm

OMG! Water became so cloudy/milky, sand storm, foams on surface, dust on glass/skimmer/wavemaker/surface, protein skimmer collected lots of stuffs.

Oceans Direct Pacific Black = Semi-Wet

As i added the Bimini pink before the pacific black therefore i cant see its status as my tank is already cloudy. Pakaging wise, Ocean's direct is semi wet therefore no xcessive water, cleaner choice.

Personally i prefer Ocean's Direct at there no xcessive water and im sure it wont cause sand storm/cloud water. I mix the bimini pink and pacific black together just for fun, no other reasons.

I added the free Caribsea Bio Magnetic Clarifier into my tank, hope it clears out my tank.

Parameters check after adding, seems normal

pH - 8.0 (maintain)

kH - 10 dKH (it rise my previous low reading)

NH3 - 0ppm (Maintain)

NO2 - 0.5ppm (cycling tank)

NO3 - 20ppm (cycling tank)

PO4 - 5.0ppm (Maintain)(PURA complete not doing anything to bring it down)

It is normal for water to turn cloudy after adding in new sand. Just leave it for a day , and it should be clear very soon.
