Geez..as much as I want to watch T3..isn't anyone the least bit excited about matrix reloaded/revolutions? :yeah:

Watched hero too..but..didn't really like it ley..thought tiger/dragon was better..

Anyone here watches anime?

I'm playing cool and try to march into a theatre with any expectations, that way you won't be too disappointed... B)

My favourite anime to date is Cowboy Bebop ... cool & funky bounty hunter action ... with one of the best animation besides Evangelion and Rahxephon.

About HERO, there are parts which are seemingly 'overdone', but I suspect the bulk of us are comparing this to CTHD, so our perception may be somewhat biased.

I wouldn't go as far as to say there is no depth in storyline, as compared to CTHD whose plot is even simpler. Character development plays an important role as well, which CTHD did flawlessly.

I believe if the movie is longer, more can be done, adding not only depth but also breadth to the story.

heh..rumour,

I don't know if you read the spoilers..I did..and boy was I blown away.

Anyways, did you know that the entire thing was designed to be a trilogy from the start? As in the whole thing is one big story..so reloaded and revolutions are NOT, repeat NOT, sequels..

Think of it as the same as LOTR, as in the the 3 installments are one big story..

Did you read the comics for the matrix online? Quite interesting, go to www.whatisthematrix.com

Did you ever watch this anime called gunm: battle angel?

The comic has an entire series, but the anime only had 2 episodes :cry2: ..I tell you..these two episodes were like WAY better than eva.. :ooh:

I downloaded escaflowne last year too..but up till now only had time to watch the first episode. Will give an update as to whether or not to watch it if you haven't already..

Cowboy bebop sounds strangely familiar...I think I'll go back home tonight to see if I can find it..

 No man, I try to spoil the fun by reading too much on the net ... I'll review them after the shows so at least I'm not biased.

Battle Angel? Heard of it, some anime girl right? No man, is it better than EVA? That anime is already in a class of its own, alongside some others. I watch anime very much like I do any other movies; either I like it at first glance , or none at all.

Escaflowne's been around a bit, think they trying to hit the US market like Bebop and EVA. Seen the American version, didn't like the dubbing. My opinion, Japanese dialogue is more natural (if its not broken, don't try to fix it). Don't mind it, if you have the original version with EN subs.

Woohoo... movie swaps time... :)

I'm sure you'll find Bebop highly watcheable, if u into manga, try my favourite of all time:

 *** LONE WOLF & CUB ***

The series finally ended last year and I've already found myself reading it again. Do a search and you'll see what I mean. The entire reprint series by Dark Horse can be found at Kinokuniya.

Yep, it's about a cyborg girl..it's really too bad the anime only had 2 episodes..*sigh*..the action was fantastic. After some of the fight scenes I was like :ooh:

Eva kinda got draggy after awhile..and the final movies were like.. ???

Most of my escaflowne episodes are english subbed..just the way I like it too.. :D ..somehow, the dubbed ones can't seem to vocalise the emotions of the characters sometimes..but there were some that I couldn't find that were english subbed so had to make do with the english dubbed.. :cry2:

About cowboy bebop..heh heh..I managed to get 2 episodes done last night..looks pretty good..art reminds me of city hunter. Will try to get as many episodes as I can..heh heh.

Movie swaps..heh heh..yay..more stuff for my library. Only thing is, my movies are all avi files..not for vcd player..only for computer..I haven't figured out how to convert my avi files into vcd format..*sob*..so sad, and it's quite a waste too since I have about most of the best movies on cd. My long term plan is next time when I have my own home..I'll buy a projector and hook my computer up to it..YAY..movies galore.. cinema standard..HAHAHAHA..

manga huh..hmm..not really, cos I don't read chinese very well..but I really dig the art. You ever read stuff by neil gaiman?
