Firstly, u need a more powerful pump to connect to chiller. Also, most reefers install a sump tank with chiller. A simple system like yours shud not need a chiller.

most people recommends me chiller.. i cant get 25-27c even with 2 fans.

Tested Parameter today

S.G - 1.022 (Hydrometer says 25c but i cant get my temp there atm)

Ph - 8.0

Alk - Low (Only Have Low, Normal, High chart)

Ammonia - 0ppm

No2 - 0.2ppm

No3 - 5.0ppm

Po4 - 5.0ppm

Temp - 29c

Me thinks me have problem with me Po4 and Alk. How to remedy? or just wait till cycling finish?

PURA complete not lowering the Phosphate. How lei?

And BTW, can someone help me to list down the addictives for reef building? Calcium, Magnesium, Trace Elements, Iodine?

Alkalinity should read about 8.2. You may buy solution to raise the alkalinity, High phosphate will encourage algae growth. Get a packet of resin, put it in a sock/stocking, and soak in the water. Overtime, this should lower the phosphate.

NH3 is 0ppm, naturally as there are no livestocks in there. Adding 2-3 fishes (damsels/green chromis) during cycling will help, although some reefers do not encourage as this may be detrimental to the fishs' health.

For reef building, you also need Strontium and Phytoplankton solution.

PLS do not use fishes or any other living things for cycling..

You may just kills them. What's so difficult about getting a market prawn??

Yap, i have a feeling that will be part of my LS.. Been reading about isopods, some say there harmless, eats algae and a source for the fish to feed on. Some say they are pest that might kill fishes.. hmmmm

I wonder is my dosing is correct, all calculated by myself. Can Anyone check on this

All this dose are base on estimate 50L of water (13.2G). Dose are slightly lesser so as not to overdose.

Brightwell products:

alk 8.3 - dose 2 ml daily, get range 10 - 12dkh, dose weekly to maintain

ph+ - 2 ml everyday until ph is attained but need alk to be in range 7-12dkh. Repeat as needed

calcion - 1 ml every other day (2days) or as needed

magnesium - 2.5ml every other day (2days) or as needed

strontium - 2.5ml evey other day (2days) or as needed

Iodion - 2 drops every 2 - 3 days

Replenish - 5 drops every other day (2days)

Other Stuff

Goodbye PO4 - 0.5ml every week to maintain PO4

Coraline Simulator - 13 drops 2 times per week or lesser depending on results

I was wondering y my Regal Tang hiding.. Spotted ich but its common... Tried seaching for the cause, found an isopods attaching to my regal tang. Took my tang out into a smaller tank, Use twizzers to remove the isopod, freshwater dip my tang to remove ich for 10mins.. isolate it in a small tank with main tank water for 10mins. Put it back into my main tank and my tang starts swimming and eating.. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming. still have faded white marks tho.. but the obvious ones are gone..

Im not sure... im using a rimless, braceless tank.. so i dont use styrofoam.. but i do use a tank mat.. i bought it at madpetz
