IMHO, better use RO/DI to rinse if you want. For me, I put them inside reactor and run them directly w/o rinsing.

Should rinse before use. Put them into the reactor and rinse thro with tap water. Let the dust flow out. Then pour the water out , set up the reactor and run outlet into filter bag.

Thats how I do.

Cheers

Thks for the advice.

I run the rowa phos on reactor with DI water inside a pail to clear off the dust. After that place the reactor back to sump but still got lots of tiny black dust escape into sump and main tank.Wont ur water get milky w/o rinsing?

Same as yellowtang, I use the sock filter to trap the rowa dust and small particles.

Putting it in a bag will probably limit the media from moving constantly and may cause compaction of the media that I agree but that was one of the ways in preventing the media does from escaping into the tank, so I read. I suppose it pays to get a reliable phos reactor, Cheers : )
