I believe can split. I bought a connector with screw connection, so can fix 2"+" & 2"-" cables to one power supply. Just need to get the appropriate amp.

I don't think can dim though.

I was looking at Arcadia too. Looked and looked. It scored 9.5 / 10 haha..

The 0.5 imperfection was for the rubber sucker (I never liked suckers ;p), and the way it'll take up 4 sq inches of my invaluable tank top space.

So a LED strip that does not take up any space at all, and one that allows flexibility of placement and resizing, scored 9.9.

The choice is clear.

It's a stick-on with 3M mounting tape. As its sticking on the aquawasher LED set, it tends to not stick very well. I tied a pc of fishing line to hold it more firmly in place.

Not hot at all.

Bright enough to catch hanky panky red handedly.

Have not used long enough to say it can be long lasting or not.

haha, should I get arcadia and convert the sucker to magnetic or 3m velcro? bro, you should try vhs tapes from 3m, quite strong. i heard solite also carries moonlight.

Acardia, Hydor, Coralife does have moonlight...

Kay - u should tape or velcro ur led firmly.. as its self adhesive or 3m tape will lost its contact when it is moist (water evaporation. experience from automotive under tray led). Try to silicone the end tip of the led strip and the wire connector, u dun wan it to drop into ur aquarium and cause minor electrocution..

I using one right now.. i find it very bring.. no heat, able to use internal or xternal.. I stick it on my collection cup of my hob skimmer. can even stick it on my T5 acrylic guard... u can mod the rubber sucker as its removeable

DIY Project UAS. (update - 07.07.12)

Have been getting less than ideal algae growth on my Upflow ATS. The 10W LED warm white is too bright at a single focus point, causing a burnt point in the centre where nothing can grow.

Then I got myself 5 pcs of 3W LEDs. 4 x red 660nm, and 1 x blue 455nm.

Stripped my current box out and cannibalize what I can.

This is what I get.

Added a strong DC fan for cooling measures. It's strong, but it's kinda noisy too.

Voila!!

Will update the effectiveness of this light along the way.

Livestock update 08.07.12

Saw this lovely Yashai Goby paired with a similarly colored Pistol Shrimp. It was the only bag with the pairing. The rest of the bags has only the gobies.

I had to grab it without any hesitation!

From the LFS at Pasir Ris Farm, to the left at the first t-junction. I dont know the name of this shop though. it's the one where there's a roundabout just in front..

When I visit farms at pasir ris, I always turn left first, just don't know why. Then visits to Ah Beng and the Ng couple, then Iwarna. It became a habit already.
