Help!! My fishes are dying....

Recommended Posts

I need urgent advise to save my beloved fishes. My tanks is 4ft FOWLR running for about more than a year.

About a week ago, my fishes started to had white patches (not spot) on their body especially on my angel fish. Some fishes eyes are moldy and bulging. I suspect this disease was brought in by the new cream angle which was added in about a week ago before this outbreak.

I did about twice 40% water change within a week and my tanks fishes look better now but my angels are getting worst!

Yesterday, my emperor and Koran up the bus, today my cream angel said bye bye....:(... Next will be my majestic and Singapore angel....I need to save them!!

I'm going to do another 50% water change today. Hope can improve the condition.

Another issue is I had brought a FR for using NP reducing bio ballets. Is it ok to add it to my sump now or better to wait for the condition become normal?

Any bro can provide some advise is highly appreciated!

Thanks!

No point adding biopellet. For velvet, need master to teach u. A troublesome disease that could wipe out yr livestocks. Not sure copper treatment can help(need master of angel to advise). My experience is once outbreak, the die-off will come and to a point left those "carrier" or resistant ones. It will take weeks to months to confirm stability and some "carrier" will continue to live and be time bomb.

Copper seem to be the most effective and proven medicine so far dealing with velvet. However it will leave strain in your live rocks and unsafe with invert and corals , you can either;

1) seek help from a LFS to cure the fish for you if you do not have any space.

2) catch out all the fish and put inside a QT tank to treat it.

Unfortunately, this is one of the deadly and discouraging diseases in this hobby esp when u see your fish dieing one by one. Take it as a lesson learn and QT all your new fish in future..

Confirm velvet.

Cupramine is by far the most convenient and effective treatment.

There are some sacrifices u have to make, search online but i think it's ok since u not gg into corals and keeping only FOWLR.
