coralline grows everywhere except on my rocks!

My reef tank is about 2 1/2 years old now and nice purple coraline has grown on the walls, on the wavemakers, in the sump, a plastic tray i accidentally dropped in the sump and forgot about and even inside the skimmer.

However none of it is growing on the rocks.. have any bros experienced this? What can I do to make them grow on my rocks?

Do u have urchin? If so they will clear the coralline algae on the rock first.
