SRC Member vinccc2009 Posted April 9, 2012 Author SRC Member Share Posted April 9, 2012 What ate the test kit used to test all these? I m using those 5-1 API test strip. Any recommendation?
Gouldian
I have used API 5-1 and I find them quite accurate for FOWLR. However, do do that the accuracy will drop if the strips are exposed to humidity, thus only remove 1 strip and cap back immediately. If you are looking for the more accurate titration test kits, try DD, Salifert, Elos or Tropic Marin. I personally prefer DD and Elos. SRC Member vinccc2009 Posted May 5, 2012 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 5, 2012 I think all are right. Changing 7 pails of water per month too drastic for my fishes. I have reduced to 2 pails per 2 weeks. Hopefully can cushion the changes.

Without using RO, red slime will grow drastically. I normally buy nsw for my wc.
