iwarna bring. ah beng also have. sg only have maximum 7k flow rate if im not mistaken as i've enquired about 10k and 12k flow rate they say dont have.

some reefer had start changing their pump to Tesino, in/out sump pump, silent, low wattage and high flow. I am considering as well, probably getting friend who fly to china freqquently to get one to try. A lots of good review from china reefer. I using Eheim, only down side is the high wattage.

High flow low wattage seems like only DC pumps fit the bill currently.

If money is not a concern can get Abyzz (German products so built to last).

But last how long we do not know yet ... any user of Abyzz pump encounter any failure so far?

Else can get Made in China brands like Jebao, Reef Octopus Diablo but reliability is a question.

For the 1st generation Waveline, Jebao, Diablo DC pumps, we have seen failures within months of usage.

The 2nd generation DC pumps are on trial now since they were launched not too long ago... but the

supposingly "improved" 2nd generation Waveline DC pumps are not even not sale in Singapore(though Waveline DC6000 are

available for exchange for those broken down DC5000 within warranty)!

Cost wise if you buy 1 Abyzz A200, you can buy 12 Jebao DC12000..

Suppose a China made DC pump can last 6 months and they improve their design and reliability along the way.. you probably

can use those China made pumps for more than 6 years if paying the same price for 1 Abyzz.

However the Abyzz can be used as a wavemaker, this function is not available in those China made DC pumps.

My experience with China made pump is that they're not so reliable.

Used to run 3 Jebao pumps(FM 3500,6500&10000 total 160w)

All died within a year.

Now replaced with a Fluval Sea SP6(12300 LPH 100w)tee off to return,chiller&skimmer.

Now less heat from all the pumps and my chiller run less often.

So overall lower power consumption.

Eheim is still the undisputed champion when come to reliability. However they are not the most energy efficient. Any suggestion from the rest of bro?

Heard reef octopus improved vision is coming soon. For china dc pump I prefer to get reef octopus as the after service is good also. The warrenty cover for RO for pump is 2 year and other part 1 year.
