I'm keeping finger cross of not doing that with more precise cutting

Tank : 3 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup end Feb 2014 ) --> 4 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup early Nov 2016 )
Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC6 --> Bubble Magus Curve 7
Return pump : Jebao 10000l/h ( down in 17th December 2014 ) --> Jebao DC-12000 ( 19th December 2014 )
Compressor drop-in coil
Wavemaker : Tunze 6105 x 1
Lights : Modular based DIY LED light x 4

Router cut is for preparing the edges before annealing. If u use just a normal saw cut edge for annealing.. It will create a whitish joint with bubbles.. It will not be strong and this is especially important since u r making a big tank

I'll polish the cutted side before joint them...

Still in the planning phase as I'm also working on the sump tank design...

Not to mentioned on the piping flow planning..

My experience with acrylics came mostly from online researching but experienced maker definitely don't recommend polishing before annealing as it will craze and the bond will be weak. Frankly, I think it will b stronger if u use saw cut edge. I recommend more research before u embark as the tank u have in mind is big.

I think the methods detailed in my thread should be the minimal practise if anyone want to make a reasonably sized tank as it was Well documented n practised by hobbyist world wide

Yup, your post is good...

Still thinking whether to embark before CNY or after CNY as the material would be lying in the living room....

And also i have a new cabinet redo for this tank.

Hi bro...

for the piping...do you glue it firmly or use water seal and just tighten it?
