Joeteng
My tanks always have algae problem, is this one of the reason for the algae growth? I saw one of the reefer stated this and not sure is it truth about the statement. Can anyone advise?
Gouldian
Technically if the T5 spectrum shift toward the lower color temperature, you may get algae growth. But personally, I feel that there are more than 1 reasons towards algae bloom and we need to tackle them holistically. cedricang
You can try to do an experiment and see if a new replacement of t5 tubes (similar type) does have an impact on the algea bloom or not. Alternatively, the only way to control algea is by means of either to minimise introduction of nutrient i.e. food, or by nutrient export such as skimming, biopallet, bacteria base, macro algea etc. Cheers Quote Treat others the way you wanna be treated...
