It's only been running for around 10 days. I just got excited because it's my first marine tank. My nitrites were around 0.5 for a few days till Sunday. That's why i got excited... hahahah.

On Saturday I put in a banded coral shrimp and he died within 30 minutes, so I thought i was doomed to failure.... Now i have some zoanthid patch along with another random corl that looks like a bunch of flat anemone. I also have one damselfish i got on Sunday.

Tank is getting a lot of brown algae on the sand and lower walls, which i'm taking as positive sign of cycling. Diatoms?

Because i dont know how long i'll be in Singapore opted for a small setup. I got the nanotank setup from Madpetz.

"Features :-- 300mm cube tank include front crystal glass - Ecoxotic Par 38 tri-colour for maximum growth and colourisation of corals - Reliable Eheim-Compact 600 Return Pump - Effective filtration system consist of machanical, biological and chemical filtration using Chemipure and Bacteria King"

Anyways, appreciate everyones support and advice!
