Live Sand from LFS

Just went to LFS to look at fishes n corals....and also to find live sand for my tank next week.....

They are selling live sand at $5/kg......is it worth it?

And also what is the different between their live sand and live sand packed in sealed packaging?

Any bros here have experience in this?

Both Live sand and packaged sand had cultured good bacteria base on my understanding.

I can just put sand into any tank and claim its "live".. U need to ask what type of sand and wheres the source..

Today I just went to sealife.....they are also selling their live sand from tank....$4/kg....but their Caribsea Live Sand seems to be more expensive......Jasmine quoted me $150/pack (40lbs)

Is this price correct?

40lbs Caribsea live sand for 150 is too expensive...

The price they quote are way xxx. Go to Madpetz and the prices are there or can view online on their site. Alternatively buy sand at iwarna and seed them. Have different grade size.

I wonder why this thread was kept alive for so long .. It openly mention name of lfs how expensive or how new Reefer being rip by them... s this the way? Where are those Reefer that said we should not openly mention lfs..I don't see ayone jump to help the lfs.. I don't think this is fair to the lfs who,is,also a sponsor... These remarks does more damage them what I posted last few .. Weeks and was edited
