The new openly Wisma Atria in april 2004

will be going to have a new marine tank display

at the cost of 1 million bucks :lol:

Cheers and wait for this million dollar marine tank

right in the city of singapore

Will it be New tourists attaction... spend so much money still free of charge. everyone can jus go Wisma Atria to see marine fishes instead of Underwater World!~~

At the end of the day, at most it could only be a FOWLR tank with sharks and rays. That's what children and tourists like to see. Even with $1 m budget, I don;t think they have the people to make a giant reef tank!

The wisma tank is sitting on a beam to support its weight. The skimmer is huge.. let me see whether do i still have the pics.. will try to post them if i can locate them.. :erm:

cos they nv take gd care of the LS there....

just look at the present one.... it was so nice when its initially set up but as time goes by.........

true..mostly the fish featured isnt there anymore..everytime the one i always see is the shark tat will nv grow big..lol.. but their Y.T and other tangs are BIG!!

Everything's sold. Back in 2yrs time.

guess the tank is to attract shoppers and tourist

maybe should have a promotion "buy 100 dollar worth of products in any shop and get a frag of acpro

or fish free in the tank

guess all the reefer here will ask their wife or girl to shop there non stop

mayb some of u all dunnoe... last time the setup was on corals.. then one day the whole system crash.. the setup was changed... to FOWLER only.. guess even with a 1 million budget. they will not wanna do it as a reef tank? one time experience is already enough..??

that is y now u see the tank.. all the 'corals' are fake and not real???

all made of fibreglass??

the tank was very dim at that time, somemore the tank more then 10 years old when it was build if i am not wrong...hmm that time dun really have very high tech tech to keep corals alive...so hope with those high tech stuff~~

they will make into a coral tank loh :P

i think the skimmer the lighting the chiller will cost thousands le.. even though got aircon.. i think still need chiller.. imagine using 400W lighting to pentrate the depts of the tank.. how many wil they need.. without chiller.. boiling water

wah kaoz. so expensive. You all talking ant the cylindrical tank at the basement issit? Now just FOWLR what. damn dim somemore. They use to keep corals in there ah?? WHat lighting they use? So tall. 10 x 1000W MH? haha. Tank so big they wanna convert to reef need to buy tons and tons of LR leh. so ex. and if all LR no corals see already also sianz. Keep us updated abt the situation man. Wanna go see when it is complete. :D

Hi comrades

Yesterday had saw the hugh tank at Wisma, it was located on 2nd floor right outside a bar/restaurant, from MRT, take the first escalator up and you will see. It was curved in shape and possibly 10 metres long by a metre wide, it was FOWLR. By a quick look, it had only damsels, possibly naso tangs and few small sharks only......The only wish is to have more LS...... :(
