About bio pellets and lights

Do i need to keep the bio pellets in the dark so that it will be more efficient? As some certain types of bacteria will die when expose to light.

Now my bio pellets rector is hanging on my tank and it will get some lights through my light set, wondering if this will reduce the efficient of the bio pellets?

Thanks!

I don't think this matter much... as bacteria from the pellets will be flown into your display tank be it from the sump or hanging on your tank... the important thing is to keep your pellets in the reactor in good circulation...
