I started as a newbie with a 2ft, as I was worry about a lot of thing like running cost and equipment wise,I agreed it has been a tough road struggle to learn new things, and all the short form here in the forum it is using, I felt so noob, but this forum has help me a lot and this 2 ft have been with me for a year plus.

Recently found that the wrought iron leg has rust even I paint with aniti rust paint, no choice time to upgrade. Throw away my divider and paint the wall before the new tank (4x2x2) arrive this saturday I was really excited.

just went to CF today but the shop owner say the shipment for fiji rock havent arrive yet left about a mixture of big and small, he suggest to me to wait for shipment since i want to invest on fiji rock rather then get these few pieces.

Shall I wait or shall I just get that mixture of Big & small to do with cylcing since all are the same rate?

suggestion are welcome

Bro, Have u sourced ard before confirming Fiji rock? They are nice but with premium price. If u are keeping fish only can consider, otherwise for coral keeping, it does help in yr stacking but yr coral will steal the limelight of the rock eventually. Having said this, if u already made up yr mind, then suggest u get big pcs rather than small ones.

:yeah: :yeah: My tank finally come!!

dsc1371c.jpg

Spend sometime to run the cable neatly , as I have very bad experience in messy cable on my previous setup, therefore hope to spend more time in run neat cable and piping with proper planning, will add on a protective acrylic cover for the power plug

dsc1373r.jpg

spend lot of time in mounting the Maxspect light on wall as the wall plug distance must be quite accurate as well as the casing for the cable

My improvised little toy to record all water parameters during cycling as well as in future , like a data logger ^_^

Ok, I'm also looking for a wave maker for my 3 ft. Currently not running any in my tank. My preferred choice would be mp10wes.

Now I am putting two market prawn in the tank for cycling, the stench is so awful, will the stench go away after the ammonia have gone down? today is only the 2nd day

Try adding more bacteria to speed up the cycling process. Hope this helps...

Any recommendation of bacteria to purchase? and if the market prawn is rotting like with a white slime covering the whole prawn , and the ammonia now from 0.25 to 0.5, can I take out the prawn or leave it as it is?

LOL! cos I found that record in paper will get wet and quite troubelsome, therefore custom made a acrylic case to house my old Iphone 3 without SIM CARD , with download Apps of aquarium tracker, quite useful as can plot the graph and enter quite a few parameters.

It is also auto set date and time for you when u enter the data.

Whew!! spend one hour to modify the fan and grill , hoping to cool the chiller coming tommorow!

The fan will run on timer not 24 Hour,, I do not want to tap to chiller control board just scare will mess up the wiring , so running on timer will monitor how often the chiller kick in.

Waiting for new LR to come and skimmer
