ID: Parasite / growth on fish

Hi all,

There's some growth on my filefish. Initially it looks like there's white worms attached to the skin, but upon close-up, it's like a white fern like thing instead. Anyone can help ID and the treatment for it?

Look like ich to me. If you can catch the fish out, do a freshwater dip will help remove them

Its a fan-bellied filefish. Currently this is the pic that I have. I'm currently placing it in a separate plastic tank before I can ascertain that it's healthy.

I came across a pic of the filefish online, seems to also have that "beard" you mentioned.
