Hi guys, I tried to have sea hare for twice but it die after a month. Followby a few fish die after that. Is sea hare produce toxin when it gigot die?

How it died? Some crabs do attack sea hare if u have any.

I also don't know how it die. Missing for a few days and then suddently saw a white body...

If not enough food, it will also starve to death.

Most likely it die of starve if there is not enough algae in the tank for it to eat. Unfortunately, sea hare does produce some sort of toxic when it die, so best if you take it out immediately when it die and run some carbon in the water to remove the toxic.

check what is causing the fin rot.

It may be bitten by others or It may be diseases in your water/fishes

Do a 50% water change. Quarantine the affected fishes if possible. Could be bacterial Infection spreading.

I don't think it is bitten as I only have less aggressive type of fish.

There is also white spot found. Also blood wound on the died fish. How do I know it is parasite or fungi or bacterial infection? Thought of using paraguard to the main tank

Is it safe to put paraguard into main tank? Anyone tried and got experience the effect?

Do not ever pour med into your main tank. Always put sick fishes in a QT tank and dose with med etc.

Sometimes it is difficult to catch the fish out especially if there's lots of hiding place & LR.

Get one of this fish trap from LFS. I saw them at Sealife and clementi florist. Ardound 20+.

1. open the top cover and put into fish tank.

2. when feeding, place food in the trap via the top cover. Overtime, your fishes with go in to eat the food. Takes around 2-3 days.

3. After that, hold the door at one edge, once desire fish enters, just close it.

4. For even better result, you can place a mirror at one end of the trap.
