Sicce Extreme Noise

Just wondering those who have an sicce extrema pump, if the pump makes a loud rattling noise when placed near the glass but not touching it?

i'm running an extrema and have no problems with the rattling. One edge is even touching the glass but no issues so far.

rattling sound could be due to the following

1) vibration from the glass

2) pump spoilt

is it a new one?

I bot 2 quite some time ago, and they also did abit of rattling, but they stopped doing it after abt a week in the water - i tink its because the shaft and pump structure are still new, and need time to 'settle in' Just my experience...

Got it new....

When placed in open water it makes no rattling noise just a silent humm. As soon as I place it near the glass it gets louder and a rattling noise can be heard . Do you get rattling noises riot? or is it silent when place on the glass?

try not to put it near the glass then...

me got 2 and place then in a 1 feet by 4" sump...

at first got noise now.. very quite...
