RO/DI water requirement for FOWLR Tank

I have been using untreated water for 2 years and noted that my fishes with some mushroom are not in best of health.There a few outbreak of icks.My fishes ( Tanges & angel) are feeding heavily with NS pallets and nori . My parameter as follows > SG 1.024. Ammonia :0 Nitrite :0Nitrate:0 PH:8.3 Phosphate:0.25 KH:7 calcium:430. Please advise

I hv been keeping angels n tangs for the last 7yrs using tap water too.

IMHO,good maintenance is the key to lessen all the problems that

u are having now.but its also best if u use RO/DI for ur water used.

Do test ur water parameters religiously n use bacteria cultures that

can be found at most LFS...this will boost ur bacteria growth to handle

ur nitrogen cycle n thus will enhance ur H20...just my 2cents bro.

Fyi few if not many of us r using tap water for our set up.
